Serbia, Russia: Russian loan for Serbian railways
On 15th April a protocol on release of Russian loan worth 800 million USD was signed by Milutin Mrkonjic, the Serbian Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, and Vladimir Ivanovich Yakunin, the President of Russian Railways. “We have made a very important step”, said Mrkonjic. “Our builders will be very busy in the future”, he added.
Armenia: search for investor for construction of railways between Armenia and Iran
CEO of the South Caucasian Railways Mr. Shaydulin stated during the press conference that: "the project of construction of railways between Armenia and Iran is on the stage of the search for investors, as those are primarily considered Russia and Iran”.

Russia: new electric locomotive 2ES10 completed trials
Experimental electric locomotive 2ES10 "Granite" with a train weighing 6300 tons completed trials on the pilot ring of “All-Russian Research Institute of Railway Transport” (Shcherbinka, Moscow Region).
Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina: Rail cooperation between Port of Ploce, HZ and ZFBiH
General manager of Zeljeznice Federacije Bosne i Hercegovine (ZFBiH) Nedzad Osmanagic met with a delegation from the Croatian Railways (HZ) and the director of the Port of Ploce Ivana Pavlovic. The meeting involved the cooperation between the companies.

Croatia: Reconstruction of the Jakusevac rail bridge until end of April
Croatian Railways informed that in the middle of April they will finish the reconstruction of the rail bridge in Sava Jakusevac, which has been damaged by flood in March 2009.
