Germany: Report concerning train accident in eastern Germany
German Transport Ministry prepared a report after the accident in eastern Germany that happened on 29 January 2011. The report says that negligence two successional red lights by the driver of the freight train caused the head-on train crash on Saturday night.
Montenegro: Loan for electric multiple-units

Russia: First two models of 2ES10 Locomotive – serial production in 2012

Germany, Poland: Warsaw orders 35 trains

Austria, Germany: Getzner supplies padded railway sleepers for Berlin-Cottbus line
Austrian vibration insulation specialist Getzner Werkstoffe will supply sleeper pads featuring a polyurethane layer for Deutsche Bahn. Upon completion, this track section will be able to handle speeds of up to 160 km/h without generating additional vibrations.

Ukraine: No money for Dnipropetrovsk underground railway
The employees of OJSC Dniprometrobud, an underground railway construction firm building underground line in Dnipropetrovsk, say that there is no financing for the further work.
Ukraine, Slovakia: EUR 6.5 billion for the broad-gauge rail track to Vienna
General Director of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railway) Mykhailo Kostiuk said that the company has calculated costs of broad-gauge track linking Kosice in Slovakia and Vienna, the capital of Austria.

Croatia: TZV Gredelj will modernize 9 locomotives
Chief executive officer of TZV Gredelj Ivan Tolic and the representative of National Railway Equipment Company (NREC) Steven L. Beal signed a contract for renewal and modernization of nine diesel-electric locomotives.
Russia: More than RUB 14 billion of tax paid by Moscow Railway in 2010
Moscow Railway -one of the biggest tax payers in Russian Federation- has payed in the last year over EUR 343.7m (RUB 14 billion) of tax. It is one of the biggest contributions to the budget, significantly higher than in 2009.
