Russia: Uralvagonzavod completed its tanker order portfolio
The Russian rolling-stock manufacturer Uralvagonzavod, which was suffering from the lack of orders last year, managed to complete its tanker wagon portfolio for 2010.
Poland: Construction of a 2nd metro line will not affect Euro 2012 preparations
Construction of the main part of the second metro line in Warsaw will not affect preparations to the Euro 2012 football championships. Works should go full steam ahead around the end of August.
Russia, Ukraine: Brunswick Rail to purchase 7,000 cars
The Russian company Brunswick Rail plans to purchase more than 7,000 cars from the Ukrainian manufacturers.
Turkey: Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul freight train to be launched soon
According to Pakistani minister of railways, the international freight train linking Turkey with Pakistan and Iran will start regular daily operations in the middle of summer, most probably in August.

Russia: RZD to sell gondola cars
On the 5th of July, Russian Railways (RZD) will hold an open auction to sell 10,000 gondola cars.
Romania: First two Alstom coaches for Metrorex
On the 26th of May, the first two renovated coaches for the Bucharest metro left the Alstom plant in Reichshoffen and after 5 days were delivered to the Metrorex workshop in Bucharest.
