Russia: Knorr-Bremse Rail Vehicle Systems prepares for brake equipment production in Russia

In the course of this month, Knorr-Bremse Rail Vehicle Systems completed the preparations for the production of disc brakes and compressors in Voronezh, Russia. The brake equipment assembly facilities were set up in collaboration with OAO Vagonremmash, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Russian Railways RZD.

Russia: RZD signed MoU with Alstom

On the 21st of September at the international InnoTrans 2010 exhibition in Berlin, Russian Railways (RZD), Transmashholding, and the French company Alstom Transport signed a memorandum of understanding on developing an AC freight locomotive with a 2ES5 asynchronous traction motor.
