Poland: Lubusz Province wants to manage regional services
Lubusz Province (Lubuskie) plans to leave the structures of Przewozy Regionalne (regional services) and to operate local routes independently. However it does not want to establish a new company.
- When in 2008 marshals took over the local operator, the idea was to divide the company into small departments, so each province would have its own. Now we are discussing this topic – said Tomasz Hałas, member of the board of Lubusz.
According to him, the province will not establish a new company, like Mazovia did with Koleje Mazowieckie, unless it will be able to separate from Przewozy Regionalne differently.
