Poland: Poznań modernizes Tatra and 105N trams

Public transportation company from the city of Poznań will modernize its Tatra trams. The vehicles have faulty brake systems. Together with fixing the defects, also new seats, floor-covering and walls will be created. A total of 10 Tatra trams will be renovated, 5 in 2010.



In autumn, also Moderus Beta, 105N trams modernized by the company Modertrans, will start operating in Poznań. They will be 28 meters long and will have a capacity of 216 passengers (including 40 seats and special places for the disabled). Also the monitoring system will be installed in the vehicles. The price of modernizations is now being negotiated. First Moderus Beta trams should appear on tracks in September.
